Plan on 5-10 minutes of reading and learning and another 20-30 minutes of writing. Like any skill, you will get better and faster over time. But even just the bare minimum will get most businesses good results.
3. I'm not guuud at writing. How do I write emails?
The great thing about being a copywriter is I don't have to be guuud at writing either. What I do need to be good at is storytelling, knowing the customer avatar, and getting them to take an action (like buying the product). You can do the same with a little time and imagination.
4. I have my teenager writing our emails. Why do I need you and this course?
Hey, it sounds like you got it all under control. At least you are sending emails. Most e-commerce businesses don't. The only emails most (90%+) that a customer receives are transactional emails like receipts and tracking. Let that teen write all they want, but just don't stop.
5. If I send emails, people will unsubscribe. What do I do then?
Honestly, this is my all-time favorite question, and I could go on for days about this, but here's the tl;dr:If you aren't sending emails at the very least for every major holiday, then they don't know you or remember you and will unsubscribe because you did nothing to develop that relationship. That's like getting married to someone but not even checking in on major holidays. Do you think that relationship is going to last? When you keep up your part of the communication by writing emails the way I explain, you will get some unsubscribes, BUT you will also start to build a strong relationship with your list, who will probably buy more from you (no ads needed), and AND many will become your unpaid salesforce. How about that? It happens. Often.
6. What if I want to hire you now?
Ok, we just met. Let's slow this down a little.
